Diesel Powered Multi-Phase Generator
The DHY8000SELR-T is a compact yet powerful long run standby generator from Hyundai and offers either switchable 230v single phase or 400v 3-phase voltages. The DHY8000SELR-T is ideal for workshops, garages and home use.
The large 25L fuel tank increases running time to a maximum of 30 hours, powered by a 4-stroke, air-cooled 456cc single cylinder Hyundai diesel engine, the DHY8000SELR-T has a maximum output of 5.8kW / 7.25kVA.
The control panel features 1 x 32A 230v single phase socket and 1 x 16A 400v three phase socket plus a 12v DC battery charging outlet.
An ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) can be connected to an ATS system for maximum convenience. Click here for more details. When the ATS module detects a loss of power from the mains supply it starts your generator up automatically and switches the supply from mains to generator. When the mains power resumes, it switches back to mains supply and switches the generator off. This electric start diesel generator can be started with a two wire start function or a simple turn of the key.
Quiet Generator
Housed in silenced casing, the DHY8000SELR-T is an extremely quiet machine with a sound rating of 70dB @ 7 metres. This means disturbance is kept to a minimum for you, your family, your neighbours, or your employees when powering your building.
The DHY8000SELR-T is economical to run, using roughly 1L of diesel every hour. The DHY8000SELR-T can also run on red diesel, allowing running costs to be kept to a minimum.

For peace of mind, this generator comes with a Hyundai 1 year / 1,000 hour warranty (whichever comes first), as well as full UK parts backup to maintain your genset for years to come.
Please note, this is a 3000rpm generator, ideal for backup power in the event of a power cut, or for powering a workshop for example. For more frequent use, or if running for extended periods of time every day (prime power) you should purchase a 1500rpm water-cooled, slow running generator that has a much longer lifespan.
Fitted with an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) controlled alternator to maintain voltage as near to 230v as possible. Non AVR alternators have a large fluctuation in voltage and can damage sensitive electronic equipment. If you require a portable generator to replicate the mains supply, it is recommended that a pure sine wave inverter generator is used.
